New England Weather + Pandemic Precautions + Birthday = Outdoor Party?
So last Friday it snowed and this Friday its sunny (and dare I say warm!).
I might not have grown up in New England but I’ve quickly learned that the weather can turn from cold to hot to cold again in a matter of days. This makes planning for outdoor events difficult, even in the best of circumstances. And these days, we’re dealing with 2020 circumstances that require us to stay out of each other’s homes, in small groups even when outside, and always in masks.
How can you host a child’s (or adult’s) party with such limitation?
Fear not, Party with ME! is Bringing the FUN to you! in all weather!
Of course some of our celebrators are moving their party schedule to match the weather… let’s just say that this Sunday is packed (!) with families that want to take advantage of the weather. Trust me when I say, that your child is more particular about having a party then the actual date of their party! I think that as long as the party is within 4 weeks of the child’s actual birthday, then you can ‘get away’ with having the party before the birthday. Being the centre of attention and feeling celebrated is what we all crave, so the date is less important. If you want to put together a last minute good weather party, let us know and we’ll lead the party with the FUN & ENGAGING ACTIVITIES you’ve come to expect from Party with ME!
And what happens when the weather just isn’t cooperating?
If we’re keeping it real, then we know that even the best meteorologist isn’t always right about the weather… This is how Garages are becoming the ‘it’ Venue! Yes, I’m serious. Pull the cars out of the garage, push all the summer & winter gear along the side walls and put out the folding table (which you rent get from Party with ME!) . As I prepare for our 5th Pandemic Birthday celebration, my husband’s 40th (!), I’ve cleared out space in the garage and added some decor to the space so that it’s more welcoming! To spruce up the space you could:

Hang the kids pictures

Balloons… everywhere, they always make any space look party ready!
What if I’m not convinced kids will keep their masks on…
By now, the kids are pros at keeping their masks on and following the leadership of adults in masks. Party with ME! always leads parties in masks and requires all participants to wear them as well.
