As the weather changes from chilly to COLD and our need for personal space grows to even more than 6’, we need to get even more creative to keep celebrating birthdays !

As we round out 9 months of social distancing, we have learned that event celebrations have 3 main options;

  • they’re modified

  • they’re cancelled

  • they go virtual

Each approach has its limitations, and I applaud everyone that has managed to celebrate any milestone during this pandemic. It is a choice to put aside the sadness that is felt when we need to modify our celebrations and often the traditions associated with these occasions. It takes perseverance to find and focus on the joy of the occasion!

Unfortunately, as the weather turns, the modifications that we have come to rely on are less accessible, in particular, outdoor parties. Of course, some of us will brave the cold with outdoor heaters and open garage doors for a masked party for a few more weeks, but inevitably we’ll all be ‘forced’ inside to celebrate. It will take another active choice to celebrate inside by ourselves but not on our own! Some of us have already embraced the virtual world for meetings, holiday meals and happy hours, and we’re feeling the zoom fatigue! This begs the questions, ‘How can we bring FUN to Virtual Birthday Parties? ‘.

As with most challenging situations, the answer is, ‘with help from a professional!’.
In this case, having a facilitator that will bring an excited energy and program to your virtual celebration will make all the difference. All celebrations benefit from a planner to ensure that all the details are considered and addressed; having a plan is critical! Luckily you already know a company that provides these very services, Party with ME! . All our parties have defined activities (tailored for the audience, ie for kids & adults) and timelines to make sure the energy stays positive, as well as time alloted for organic conversation to strengthen the bond and experience of the participants.

Another tip that makes a bigger difference than you’d think is the decor!
Yes, I know you can create a virtual background, but your joy and excitement will be enhanced if the space around you reflects the occasion you’re celebrating. Like any party, it helps to decorate your space to help you get into the mindset.

The occasion, be it a birthday or holiday, are real as is the happiness that you get from celebrating it! The only virtual component should be distance among your guests that is bridged by the technology you’re using. Allow yourself to feel the joy of your special occasion and have Party with ME! lead your next Virtual Party for the kids & adults! We are skilled at #BringingtheFUNtoyou, and happy to develop a program that meets your needs!

We look forward to Bringing the FUN to You (virtually)!
